Sad day in CO

My little Ambilobe girl passed away today :( I have taken her to the vet and have been trying to get her health up since the day I purchaced her.. I noticed she was extremly small and I had to switch up everything to accomidate her and to be honest, I thought she was gonna make it... then she took a turn for the worst and I took her in and the vet said she was dehydrated (witch amazes me, due to mist king + dripper) and she started not eating and he said he was baffled.... I tried my best and she will be missed :(

the thing that confuses me, everything was perfect... cage and suppliments... all my setups are the same and the other 3 I have are doing just amazingly....

We are sorry for your loss! It sounds like you did everything in your power to help her, we hope you can take comfort from that.

was she on any medications? and if so are you sure you were dosing correctly?

If she was drinking yet dehydrated it sounds like faulty kidneys, perhaps she was the "runt" (I hate that word) of the litter?

How old was she supposedly?

normally its best to buy 4 months and beyond - that way any that would have died from unforeseeable causes (faulty kidneys/heart/lungs e.t.c e.t.c) already have (may they rest in peace, poor things).

Sorry about your loss, keep the other three well! :)

Not all animals that are born or hatch are destined to make it, there could very possibly have been some internal issue.
The passing of an animal is not always the fault of the keeper or the husbandry.
I am sorry, it's hard to lose them.

thank you all, she was the runt I am sure... she was tiny, and no meds were giving since he did tests and saw everything was fine $324 later... Her health was like a roller coaster..one week, happy moving around eating and drinkin... the next sleeping all day...

All other 3 are doing super well under same conditions, they are growing and healthy as can be... I really just think I got one that was in bad shape :(

thanks all for your support.
