Some guy posted he had four baby raccoons that he needed to get rid of that night or he was going to kill them. They're eyes weren't even open.
His story was he found them on their dead mother who was hit by a car. Not sure if i by it.

So me and my wife drove an hour and half and got them.
They are the cutest, friendliest creatures.

All last night we stayed up feeding the babies and taking care of them.
Keeping them warm. Giving them fingers to suck on.

But we are no experts.
This morning i found an animal rehabilitator and were taking the babies to them for the proper care they deserve.

just thought id share our story :)

Aww, I've rehabilitated baby squirrels before- so rewarding!
I'd bet they're adorable, thanks for doing such a great thing, and you're lucky to have found a good rehab place- a lot of the ones around here, unless you've found something a little cooler like a baby deer or an owl with a broken wing will tell you "just leave it- let nature take its course" which is always devastating.

Thats so nice! I use to help bottle feed raccoons when I worked at an animal shelter/wildlife rescue up in Maine. They are so cute and funny:)

The animal hospital said they were healthy and all four should survive

So glad that everything turned out well! Every state should have a licensed wildlife rehabilitator. A few years ago I took in a baby squirrel - I nursed him for about 7 weeks, but knew that I could not release him here, because I have 12 cats. I contacted my local DHRS and found a rehabilitator just 12 miles away. They sent me pictures of him for about 6 months while they were transitioning him to the wild. I have since given their # to others who have found baby wildlife without a mother. Glad ya'll were there to save them!!!
