running misting system outside. will tubes freeze in winter?

Hi.
I plan to run piping outside and use 1 pump to run my indoor set ups and the ones in the shed.
So, basically, will the pipes that are outside freeze and not work in the winter, if so, are there any solutions to this?

I think you are out of luck. The pipes will freeze and pop, and then when the ice melts and the system runs it will just dribble all over. The only solution would be insulated heated pipes, or find a way to blow the water out with compressed air inbetween mistings.

Really! That sucks. I had everything mapped out and didn't think of this till last minute.

How much piping are you going to be running outside, that will be exposed?

You should be able to wrap it and keep it from freezing.

You could also employ a zip-drip valve, which will suck all the water out of the line at the end of each misting.

There would be about 30 feet outside. Iv decided to go a different route so it's only out side for a few feet but this does men drilling a hole through a wall.
