Rowan Tree??

I've been given some branches from a Rowan Tree and would like to know if I can use them in the reptibreeze.
If I can do I need to do anything to prepare them?

Not being familiar with rowan I would suggest scrubbing to remove surface dirt, bird poop, moss or rotting loose bark (but keep bark that's in good shape), making sure its not oozing sap, and going over the branches with a 10:1 hot water to bleach solution. Rinse well and dry.
