Room temperature??

Hi all, at the moment my room temps are struggling to reach any higher than 60-64F. I presume this is far too low and would appreciate advice on keeping my temps up.

Many thanks

Edit: I have a 60w zoo med basking spot bulb in a deep dome fixture about 10 inches from the basking spot perch. Near the perch i have a thermostat sensor so i can have whatever basking spot temp (between 80-85 for juve). About 2 thirds down the enclosure i have exo terra digital thermometer reading about 64F maximum day time!

I would add a ceramic heater. If you cannot fiind one of those I would get another basking dome and add a 100 watt bulb to that to heat up the cage and also lower the domes. You did not state what kind of chameleon you owned but 64 degrees is not all that cold and you do have your basking area. If that is the day temp, what to the temps fall to at night?

I have a space heater that I run in my room during the day. You can get them everywhere...Costco, Walmart etc. works awesome

What sort of cage are you using. Screen can be wrapped with plastic. To build heat, limit the ventilation. To release heat increase the ventilation... Another approach- more than one basking light can be added to create a larger heated area, and wattage can be varied to adjust to the need. For example I use a triangular pattern of reflectors to create a large heated area for my sulcata tortoises...

Using a 16x16x30 Reptibreeze.
I don't have the cham yet, hopefully picking the little guy up at the weekend (veiled). Just trying to get my enclosure right by asking you guys before i bring him home :)
I have just moved my ambient thermometer and now getting temperatures of about 68F.
The temps at night were about 61F. I have a cold house :(
