hey guys i just want some feed back here on how im doing cage setup wise. this video is old and i don't have problems with dehydration anymore, but if you could tell me any other way to stimulate drinking feel free. do you guys think i should get him a bigger cage? (cage size atm 16x16x32)he is 10 months old and i dont think he is gonna be getting much bigger. i keep his cage around 90 temperature now instead of 85. ohh and i just wanted to say that i have a drainage system now and no substrate at the bottom other then for the ficus plant.

i took him to the vet recently because he was not drinking, so they gave him some fluid shots by his ribs and he has been a lot better. i have seen him poop twice since then the the tip was white both times. although he has been hydrated after those shots, i still have not seen him personally drink. do you guys think he is drinking on his own time or not drinking at all :s cuz im not sure.

Many chams dont drink when being watched.
I see my montanes drink all the time, but the veileds and panthers, rarely.

I find the best way to to stimulate them to drink, is to get a mist king system.

also,, panthers keep growing until they are 2 years old.
so yes, i would upgrade his cage.

Another way to increase hydration is the shower method, I always see my chams drink when they shower. I usually do this 3 times a week, they benefit greatly from it. He definitely needs a bigger cage, 2'x2'x4' is what he'll need for his big boy cage.

iv tried the shower method multiple times but he just keeps trying to run off the ficus plant and never actually sits there and drinks. do you think i should put him in his cage and the plant ???
