Could we get more shots of Rocko?! i think he might be a Tamatave! i have recently taken an interest in that locale. Your chams are beautiful.

I'm not sure what kind of panther Rocko is. I was hoping the more pics I post maybe someone can tell me.

Thanks, how can I tell the melleri really is a female? If she is, do I need to keep a laying bin in her cage. She is 2 yrs old and has never laid any eggs to my knowledge.

More pics of Lola on her free roam branches bedding down for the night.

Lola and Rocko Sleeping

I swear this is true. Although they are different, they do like each. Rocko is the more dominent one and Lola is very easy going. She lived in a pet store for a year with other animals all around her. The pet store owner would walk around with her on his shoulder. I've had people on this forum tell me that them being together is not a good thing. I do keep a close eye on them but from time to time they will bed down on the same branch and go to sleep. I feel fortunate that my critters feel the love they receive. I know you're going to tell me that these are cold blooded creatures and don't have feelings like a dog, but I disagree.;)

She is a looker. I can't tell by the photos, but is she a "blue" or a "white" melleri? It looks like she doesn't have those bold, contrasting markings.

Is she captive hatched? How much does she weigh?

Dogs and cats aren't ' suppose' to like each other either.

This is her normal color unless she's stressed then she turns the dark greens and blacks. I also noticed that she doesn't have the horn on the tip of her snout like the other melleri's I've seen. I'll weigh her tonight, she is 10 1/2" snout to vent. I assume she is a female, don't know how to tell, but that's what they told me when I bought her.

:)I saw your critters under other pets, we had a pit for 15 yrs and that was the sweetest, most loyal, understanding, knew what you were feeling animal I've ever known. We didn't pick her, she picked us and me being the animal lover I am couldn't turn away. Your wife is beautiful too!

aww, thanks about the wifey comment check out Freedom when he was in his prime. he's a old man now. I agree I think they are the BEST breed of dogs. They are so sweet and lovable. They have a bad rep because people keep them locked up all the time like a inmate and they get built up anger.. BUT, they do have prey drive haha!
