I just ordered roaches for the first time a colony and medium nymphs for feeders i need to feed them something what should i use for roach chow what do you guys do? also is it alright to use wet paper towel as long as i replace it often to prevent bacteria/mold

I use wet cotton for water along with fresh veggies and fruit. I also sometimes use a bit of dry cricket gutload.

When I'm not feeding any off and letting them reproduce for a while I use cruched cat food.

I also give them fruit and left over greens and veggies. In addition, I've been using a finely ground roach chow from yoncallafrog.com (Steven Busch) that they just inhale. My colony is great and so are my herps.

I give my roaches wet gut load and dry gutload (This is in the breeding bin)
WET: Mustard greens
Kale
Dandilion greens
Squash
Apple
Orange
Blueberries
Yam
Sweet potato

DRY: Whole grain baby cereal
Rolled oats
Powder milk
Powder egg yolk
Bee pollen

I try and mix up the wet gutload for different flavors. I also throw in a bannana once in a while as a treat (treat for roaches lol)
For the roaches to be feed off they get wet gutload and fresh fruit and veggie scraps
