Reptile Show

Whats going on everyone? There is a reptile show next weekendbin Hamburg, PA. Does anyone have experience with this show, or any other shows like this one? Are they worth going to? Are there many chameleon vendors?

I am interested in purchasing my first chameleon, and I would like to make the purchase at the show if the right opportunity presents itself.

If not a good place to buy, any recommendations on a good place to buy is much appreciated. I really like the carpet chameleons. I like the colors in the female and I plan on eventually purchasing both male and female.

Not sure exactly where Hamburg PA is but I have been to shows in Baltimore and Philadelphia and they have mostly been snake conventions. At the Baltimore show recently I think there might have been a cham or 2 at most. I only saw one. Was mostly a snake fest! I was very disappointed. We don't get what they do in Florida and California. Not even close...

im not sure of the exact show your speaking of...but i bought my boy from a reptile show!
Edit: the show was in Southern California btw

If your in PA there are at least 3 members of the forum who breed carpet chameleons from PA and I would check with one of them before I bought one at a show- or find out if one of them is attending or will have babies soon. I saw one carpet at the recent show in White Plains NY that looked ok but stressed - I didn't ask the vendor any questions
I'm a fan of little guys and gals and have been searching for a little green guy for a while- I thought I would have to go carpet as I don't think I'm up to the challenge of a wild caught so I've read posts on carpets for sales and paid attention to post by members who keep them- they know their stuff. Starting with a healthy chameleon is the best way to go.

Hamburg can be hit or miss for chameleons. You will always find veilds and some panthers but how good of a selection varies. Like most shows lots of snakes. Some good food vendors are usually there.

Kevin (Dooley1) might have some available. He is located near Scranton.
