I was wondering about reptile carpet as substrate. I once heard someone say that reptile carpet is like velcroe? to their tounges. Is that true? Can I use it?

I think the biggest problem with any substrate is hygiene.
The best (cleanest) option is no substrate.

I use a reptarium and keep it on a wooden table. directly on top of the table and underneath the reptarium mesh i put reptile carpet. It soaks up the water from mistings, keeps it humid in there, and isn't a hygiene issue because it is not inside his case. works great.
