Repashy Hydro-Load

I have had a foil pack of this stuff on a shelf for over a year, unused!
I always figured, the Bug Burger and fresh veggies have all the water my
crickets need.

Well, I decided to make a batch and give them some.

I also have a reptile under tank heating mat under the crick bin at 80F
mostly to keep stuff from being to wet.

Anyway, I started noticing way fewer dead cricks then before.
Maybe coincidence, but I have been using the Hydro-Load now for over a
week and have noticed a huge reduction in dead cricks.

These are the brown banded cricks from Ghann's, the Supercrickets that can
jump clear across the room!! (exaggeration alert)

Normally, I see about a dozen dead ones every few days, and have to remove them.
Now I hardly see any, and they seem more active!!

Am I imagining things, coincidence??

Does anyone else use Hydro-Load to water their cricks?

I think a lot of people underestimate how much water these drink, me for one. I recently put in a bowl of shallow water in my adult cricket bin to see what they would do and the whole bowl was covered in crickets in about 10 minutes with them all drinking. They certainly do like a drink!

I think many probably do die due to dehydration
