I'm sure that have been post about this before, but i couldn't find the answer i was looking for. Does anyone use the product? I have been using to dust crickets for every feeding. Says that it is an all-in-one supplement and ingredient list does contain vitamin d.
Two questions.. Is this okay to be the only supplement he gets? Is there a risk of over supplementing by dusting with this everyday?

If kept indoors, sure. I would make sure you are dusting quite lightly though, and I would dust with plain calcium once a week, instead of the RC+.

If kept outdoors, I would suggest not using said product.

I have been using it every feeding since December. I really like it and i have never seen any issues with my chameleon or my girlfriends two other chameleons.

We both like it and we find it much easier then the usual one week D3 next week multi-vitamin.

There is a lot of hate on this forum about it and there is a lot of love. Personally i would recommend it to anyone.

In my experience, it is a good product.

Especially if that is what the chameleon has been brought up on thus far, then in my opinion it is good to continue the regimen.

Variety is best, and the main thing is to make sure you have plenty of nutritional variety in your gutload.

The calcium supplements we use are for balancing calcium and phosphorous ratios in the feeders, which are naturally inappropriate in most feeders.

Multivitamin supplements are to make up for any nutrition lacking in your gutload. Not a substitute for it.

The D3 is just to make sure the chameleon is getting adequate D3 in its system, but naturally synthesizing it is best. Which is what the UVB radiation is for.

Keeping these things in mind, you should be able to ascertain the best regimen for your particular situation, as everyones is different, its best to study as much as possible, and find what works for you and your animal, not follow someone elses advice to the letter.

In my opinion though, RC+ 6 days a week is plenty, but you will still need to balance your feeders on the day off. You want to use enough supplements to balance your situation, but only just enough.

I like the product, but I dont feel comfortable using it more than once or twice a week. Supplements are supposed to be supplementary to your gutload, insects, and lighting, so in my opinion, if you are doing everything top notch, there should be no need to use it at every feeding. There has also been some people who believe that the product has caused problems in/the demise of some of their animals which makes me even more weary of using it at every feeding. Of course, it will really depend on your individual circumstances and husbandry.

I would suggest that it is not suitable for every day use. Instead I use it about once a week, and a vitamin free supplement on a more regular basis. Your chameleon should be getting the bulk of its nutrition from a variety of feeders, properly gutloaded.
