I just bought some at the pet store, and I am wondering how much of this I should use. I have a 8-10 month old female vieled, and a 2-3 month old male vieled coming tomorrow. The female I feed around 8-12 dime sized crickets every other day.

AND

How much should I feed the new little guy I'm getting.?

The Repashy supplement is marketed for use on all feeders. That said, if you use a wide variety of prey and gutload properly, that much supplement wouldnt be necessary.

2-3 month old chams can be fed quite a lot. 5-15 prey items, once or twice a day (depends somewhat on the type/size of prey being offered)

Yes.

To everything up there /\

I dont use it everyday, even when my chameleons are inside.

I think a day or two a week without it is fine. The other days, I use plain calcium.

So... Does that mean ur using straight calcium on every NO repashy days?
(for my own clarification) :)

For the most part, yes.

You still want to balance the calcium/phosphorous ratio with the calcium powder.

Occasionally, maybe once a week, I wont dust a feeder.

I also dust VERY LIGHTLY, cant stress that enough. :)

Lightly has been stressed.

Now when u say a feeder.. are we talking A individual insect... Or a feeding.. I must be sure :)

Lightly has been stressed. I took on, place feeder in jar, add tiny amount of supplement then swirl. Add If necessary, opposing the shaking in bag or cricket shakers method.

It is great to be sure :)

In the post you are referring to, when I say feeder, I mean one individual insect. ;)

(I am confused by your statement/question????)

I didn't need to push play but I may in the morning :)

U said u don't dust a feeder once a week. Is that leave one cricket undusted or leave one whole day worth if feeders undusted that day of the week.

(wish I could figure out how to quote more than once)

Lol, I meant one single feeder, not a whole days worth of feeding.

Supplementing can be more of an art than a science, so its best to read as much as possible on it, and make decisions that are best for your situation, as no two situations are identical.

To answer your implied question,

There are three "buttons" in the lower right hand corner of a post.

The middle one can be clicked, thereby choosing that post to be quoted, you can click as many as you like, in whatever order you like, then click the usual reply button on the left, and it will quote them, in that order. ;)

For future reference, there is a "site assistance" forum, near the bottom, if you look at the directory.(all the forums as a list)

To give rep, you click the scales icon at the top right of a post.

Im glad I was able to assist you. ;)

AGREE!

For my part, supplementation is supplementary only. Not all feeders require supplement dusting.

Okay. So....if I feed him 10 feeders a day, mix of crickets and worms, twice a day I only dust one in each feeding everyday.? Or every piece of food every feeding.?

For the most part, yes. (every item, because...)

I am unsure about temps, I have never kept vields, but I hear they are like panthers, in which case you want an ambient in the mid 70's and a basking of about 85-95F, with plenty of shady areas.
