Hello all! I have had my chameleons for a month and already went through 1 heat bulbs. The ones that I have got were the 40w blue UVA daylight heat bulbs you can get at a Petsmart. And today my second one went out. luckily I get paid tomorrow but I am wondering, what are ones you use that are reliable?

Oh, and dont worry, I have a UVB bulb too.. XD

On a side note, I cant believe I have had my chams for a month... thought it was more than that but nope.

You can use any ordinary incandescent light bulb for basking...all it needs to to is produce heat. An ordinary halogen porch light works fine and as they are made for outdoor use they are tough and last. No fancy herp basking bulbs in use here!

Just an ordinary regular light bulb? Man, I kinda feel stupid now after spending so far $60 on two bulbs... Lol
