This article/video is about a team of German and Malagasy herpetologist that rediscovered Furcifer voeltzkowi. This species being rediscovered after being absent from modern records for 100 years. Furcifer voeltzkowi is a similar species to Furcifer labordi.

I really wouldn't know. I think I know panthers, veileds, & Jackson's, but I've been fooled by a few that look similar. It was this one's coloring & patterns that struck me.

The video had Veiled Chameleons or Chamaeleo calypatratus in the segment. I was surprised the producers edited multiple clips of that species into a video about a rediscovered Madagascar species. I think a case of a YouTube editor having fun.

IDT YT does that to uploaded videos. I went back and viewed it again, and it appeared to me the content provider (Known Unknowns) was just filling in to cover for more narration than they had footage of the Furcifer voeltzkowi.

Okay if that is what you want to call what the editor was doing. Certainly appeared random.
