36in viv, what length tube?

i was thinking 18inch fitted vertically but there is the chance of water getting in the fitting,

horizontally near the heat lamp then du think?

That would be good, but get a 36 or 42. A 42 will fit diagonally. Yes, keep it close to the basking branch, that way they will get UV while basking.
