recommended cage size for a beardie?

I know I've been asking a bunch of questions lately but here's another. I have my eyes set for getting another beardie, female. I know it's possible to keep them in the same cage so I was wanting to build a really nice cage for them. What is the recommended size for 2 beardies?

55 the smallest 75 would be better though. Never house 2 males together they will fight

Get two tanks 55 gal each. Never put 2 adult dragons or sub adults together even female and female or even male and female they will fight all the time. Only time male and females should be together is when they are breeding. When they are done they should be separated again.

The bigger the better for beardies. My father and I custom build all the enclosures for my reptiles so we have come up with a few nice ones! For a full grown adult male, which can be rather huge, I would suggest 3-4 ft long by 2x2, that's what I kept my large male and he loved it. Beardies also can have a pretty simple cage. Really the bigger the better, with more floor space the dragon has more room to hunt and sprint towards their prey which is awesome to see! You don't want a 22" dragon knocking his face in the glass attacking the crickets. I think for a juvenile a 40-55 gallon is fine, maybe even for an adult in some cases. I however prefer to spoil my animals with room. When I was younger and had several beardies I often fantasizes about converting a whole room in my house to a dragon sanctuary! I've seen it done, ah well, pipe dreams!

I would love to see some tanks that you made. I want to give my dragon some more room his tank is like 42in L 12in W and 24in H. Lmist full grown male 15in but he is missing part of his tail from before I got him. I call it his battle scar lol.

pop down to lowes and buy some birch 1/2 plywood. Its nicer than pine plywood and not as expensive as oak. And pick up some aspen 1x4's and some acrylic. and make yourself a 4x2x2! They sell the panels in 2x2 and 2x4 so no cutting involved there just screw them together. Then cut your 1x4 front trim and then its down to paint/stain time!

You can buy the materials for under 100.00 and build it in a weekend.
