My favorite species is the Carolina locust, Dissosteira carolina, I wish more people would seriously work with them, very inoffensive as far as feeders go. Also nice and large, and some are even pretty.

I am not joking about pesticides and Locust and Grasshoppers. What is funny about collecting your own grasshoppers?

Maybe I value things more than others. My backyard was a ranch at one not too distant time. I was all about going oput on the ranch and catching epic invertebrate for my chameleons grasshoppers and locusts included. I just never found that as funny.

I don't live in their natural range so that's not feasible lol.
And when I did, they were very difficult to catch.
