Rearranged Ivy's enclosure

What do you think? Put a crate under the schefflera to raise it up higher, put the pothos lower because she mostly ignores it, and I put some vines and branches along places where she usually scales the screen. Kept her food cup in the same place, so hopefully she will find her way around again quickly.

That looks very nice for your cham. The only thing missing is the chair that should be right in front of the cage, so you can rest your feet while you stare and enjoy the antics of your cham and the beautiful functional living environment that you created. I am sure you do the same as me. We can just languish in front of our chams and enjoy them more than watching TV or a movie... It is very soothing, until we see something that needs to be changed, fixed, removed, added, etc...

Actually, the table to the left of the first picture is our dining table and my desk! So I'm pretty much sat here all day... Hoping I actually get it how she likes it soon, so I can stop messing around with it! Managed a week between messings this time...

You know i will have to give my opinion.:) She needs more hiways and paths. They should go all directions, up, down. across & across one corner to the other, and there should be some smaller ones. Look at the size of her little feet compared to her branches. However it is coming a long nicely. that umbrella tree is killer. Ivy must love that.

Looks good!

If she doesn't chill in the pothos then just take it out and center the umbrella up in the enclosure?

I put my pothos in a upper corner (not 100% at top) opposite of the basking spot and lil dude will wander over there and chill vs going down into the umbrella now.

They are funny lil buggers.

I agree with you Laurie. Some horizontal pathways especially. :)

Thank you! I'll keep an eye out for more branches. She seems happier with the higher umbrella, she's sat in a leaf on the side nearest me, usually she would sit on one at the back of the enclosure. She likes watching us eat, I think, making sure nothing we are eating is chameleon-shaped.

I think she's settling in nicely, I tried to hand-feed her a hornworm today, but she wasn't impressed, until I put it on the vine 6 inches in front of her, I've never seen her move so fast... I took her out on a stick to show my girls yesterday, they thought it was SO cute the way she would slide around the twig depending on where you were, so clever when you think about it, working out where your eyes are in relation to the height of the stick she is sat on.

She is usually fairly blotchy pink, but sometimes when she's exploring she gets a white broken band horizontally along her middle, very different from the dark brown stripes she gets when I've annoyed her.

Added some artificial greenery and another vine, getting there.

Looks really good Ellie! I would agree with Laurie and Carol about adding the different sized branches. If you have any crape myrtles around they seem to have exactly what I look for when making up my cages. You could prune a small branch from a neighbors tree when noone is looking stip the leaves off and ziptie it to the jungle vine.:D the more pathways you have the less likely she is to climb the screen but it sounds like she is doing pretty well with you already.
