Reaction to Misting

So I hand mist my girl Rinoa a couple times everyday. I try not to spray her directly, and most of the time she runs like a bat out of hell from the water, but sometimes she basks in the water droplets and just soaks them in like a kid playing in a sprinkler. Is there a "normal" reaction that most chams have to misting, or is it a crapshoot?

there is no 'normal' way to react to misting. It just depends on if your chameleon is feeling cool or warm and also if your animal is thirsty.
Don't worry about her getting away from the mist. As long as the cage is nice and moist, then your chameleon will get a drink.

Cool, thanks for the quick reply. Just wanted to make sure that I wasn't stressing her out or anything just by misting the cage. Good to know. Thanks again.

Using room temp water helps also. I refill mine every night, so they are ready the next day. Some chams run to get misted, while others turn and haul.

Mine runs straight at the mister and sticks his head right under it. It's the funniest thing. I was worried at first that he's dehydrated, but he drinks plenty of water. He's like a little kid playing in the sprinklers...
