Male sliders always have those crazy long nails! I found that guy crawling along the side of my house when he was the size of a quarter when hurricane Charlie was supposed to be heading right for us but turned and nailed South of here really bad. I was putting all of the outside stuff in the garage so it would not blow away and there he was. He is aptly named Charles H.

Father is WC, and mother is believed to be an Ambilobe. She is also WC, so don't really know with females, they generally look similar, and which case sometimes mistakes can be made. So, the babies are NosyBeXAmbilobe.

Yep-and the Dad is the powder blue Nosy pictured-they are outrageously colored, but the older siblings are turning out to be more blue and Nosy looking.

Chameleon genetics are not all that studied as of yet-so it is impossible to tell how that all works. But I can tell you that 3 brothers look very similar and one I could pass of as 100% Nosy. It has been very interesting raising these guys up. I was in no hurry to sell them.

I see, so any genetic percents are just an estimate? For example, 50%Nosy, 17.5% Tamatave, 17.5% Nosy Mistio, 25% Ambilobe.

Well-that is hard to say if you don't really know lineage. Lines cross in the wild, and stuff is imported so it can be anyones guess. I really do not know what Chyna is exactly-the mom of these guys.

sorry I am in a really good chameleon mood my baby cham is going to live after what was really really close to death his appatite is back, he is more active he is gonna start his shed.
