Raindome - How long set timer and how often?

Hi all, Newbie here and have been reading great stuff from everyone on chams. Got my 2nd veiled for xmas (had a 5 year old veiled a few years ago) and am on cloud 9. He's just a baby and I've got his cage all set up. Just got my Raindome in and it's currently cycling it's first 5 gallons to clean it out. When I lived in Austin, my humidity was so good I just hand misted my veiled several times a day and he was happy. Now I live in Santa Fe, NM where it's SOOOOO dry (humidity pretty nonexistent [around 20-45% average) I HAVE to have my Raindome Low Profile for my little guy. PS - Drainage - not a problem, already set up for cage drain + live plants.

So: How many times a day and for how long at each start? (planning to start timer to mist 1 hr after lights on)

Lights/Heat On&Off: 7:15AM to 7:15PM.

Thanks!:)

ive been wanting to know the same thing, i have mine set to turn on for 25 seconds at a time 4 times a day. an hour after the lights come on, at noon, at 3 pm, and one more time an hour before lights out. Cham drinks when it goes on (after running away lol) it scares the lil guy at first, then he sees the water on the leaves. Right now i just have the misting nozzle set up, rain dome is coming in the mail.

So, you have the "low profile" one that looks like a black plastic shoebox?

I have one too, but it didnt work well with the screen mesh size of my
Reptibreeze cages. The water tended to 'pool' on top of the screen, and
instead of "rain" drops, I got a drizzle instead.
Didnt look anything like the video on the Mistking website!!.

Anyway, I had it in the same timer as the regular mist nozzles and found that
it dumps too much water if the cycles are too close together.
The cage was always wet!
The ideal time would be to let it run for like, 4 minutes, twice a day.
But I would have needed to put the raindome on it's own pump.

I also had to make the holes in the screen larger to prevent the pooling.
So I used a ss dental pic to enlarge the holes, like every 1/4''.

I live in ohio (35%) , i run it for 5min every 2 hours during the day. I never have to drain by water basin in the winter.

I feel sorry for the 25 seconds chameleon, they never get to take eyeball showers;)

Thanks guys! Great info!
I have the reptibreeze too but no issue with pooling physchobunny (I remember reading one of your posts before that you were having problems with that).
I'll put him on 4 times a day 2 minutes each run. Might need to up the run time since I don't see the humidity staying high enough for the interim period unfortunately. He's not sure about it yet but his crickets are fat and juicy with water from their critter keeper so hopefully it will even out until he gets more comfortable. :)
