R.I.P calyppo...

I just came home (I live in the Netherlands because of my study but my home is in Belgium) I only come here for the weekend at the moment and my boyfriend is in madagascar, coming back tomorrow after a month. So his parents are taking care of our chameleons. Now i found out our old capyptratus' terrarium was empty. So i called his parents where it was and they told me he died 2 days ago...

It was a calyptratus male from 8 years old, he had a very good life and made a great age. Thats why it's making it harder then with others, just because he's here for such a long time.

Well, rest in peace my friend...

thanks for your support guys, he had a wonderful life and made a lot of babies :) So we have great memories about him. Sometimes if you have so many chameleons as us, you forgot about how important every single chameleon is, but it's always hard when you lose one. Even more when you have one for such long time already..

I too am very sorry for your loss. Try to take comfort in the fact that he lived for an impressive 8 years, you obviously looked after him well:)

Yes I know, for as I know, it's a record around here :)

I shouldn't get the credit though, my boyfriend took most of the care. He had him before I was with him so...Worst thing is that my boyfriend doesn't even know yet...He's coming back from Madagascar tomorrow...

Aww, that's so sad. He lived to a ripe old age though, bless him. I am sure he had a really happy life with you, and, although it's really hard to lose a cham, your memories will always be with you, rest in peace little man.
