Quick simple question

Hi guys.
Just curious what the purpose of misting twice a day is other than having your chameleon drink the water dripping off the leaves. i know it brings up the humidity, but is that good for their skin or something, or another reason?
My veiled chameleon drinks exclusively from his dripper, but i still mist twice a day anyways. Every article i read that mentions misting usually comments on how it's for the purpose of them drinking, i'm curious why there's a need for people to mist their cham's environment twice every day even if their chams drink only from the dripper.

TLDR: why is humidity important to a chameleon?

Thanks!

Well it's like you said for the humidity. We as their keepers are to mimic their environment as close to the real thing as possible. So if it has a specific humidity in their natural environment then it's our job to put it in their artificial environment for their overall well being.

Hi Jamie455,welcome to the forum, how do I explain this,,,,ok its like u wash ur face twice a day morning n night, but u still need a long shower to keep you clean fresh n silky smooth:) its better to be safe on their hydration then their dehydration along with their humidity for their shedding etc purpose, these are just my friendly thoughts:)
