Quick Question

I looked through the search button and did some research and it seems as though Veiled Chameleons usually take a day or so to completely shed. My 7 month old veiled has been shedding for about 3 days now and has lost all skin around face but continues to shed his whole body. Is it normal that it is taking him so long? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I think the larger they get, the longer it takes to shed. Babies will take about two days to shed since they're smaller.

I think he is fine although I'm a little worried as this is my first Cham and I've had him for about a month now. I'll try and get some pictures up, but in the meantime thanks!

Its winter time so it may take him a little longer. The higher the humidity the easier it is for them to shed. If your really worried you can put him on a plant in the shower for about 20 min with a likewarm spray. Just try to not spray him directly. Tha will help him lose all that loose skin.

Babies especially should only take a day start to finish. As they get older, it may take them slightly longer, but if it takes longer that means you need to bring up the humidity.
