Quick question :)

Today my little jacksons fell around 5 inches (not that much) but I picked him gently off the floor of his cage. I noticed he had very light grip.

Is this gentle cham grip normal when they're young? Or do you think he was just very stressed out due to the move?

:) Just wondering.

Is he using all his limbs? My veiled took a fall when he got sick and injured one of his arms, it was more like a foot though.

He is climbing around just fine. He was frightened when I put him back because he is still not used to the new place, but he climbed up and away just fine.

Seems as if right now he is exploring. I also have a UVB light on him as of now. I'm trying to keep temps up till I can get a low wattage light bulb and fixture.

flight

My jax are the quickest to drop and run. Out of panther, veil, & jax, the jax are the only ones i made a mental note about them fleeing. I had a jax leap from off the top off a 4ft cage onto my deck and was just fine. I read somewhere, just the other day, they will poof themselves up with air to protect their bones. He should be okay, no problem.

My veiled that I got as a baby had an almost unnoticable grip when he was really little and worked it's way up to leaving marks now that he's an adult. If he's holding on in his enclosure and moving well, I'd say he's just fine and it's just his baby grip you are feeling. Just like us, babies have a much weaker grip that strengthens as we get older.

Ok good. Just wondering because Monty leaves little scabs/scratches and I didn't even feel the baby's grip
