He would probably appreciate more height in his environment.
Right now he's a foot and a half shy of the recommended 48" minimum ... are you thinking this is his forever cage or do you have plans to upgrade him?
If you are planning to improve his enclosure in the not to distant future, I would say he's fine for now.

I have plans to upgrade (put in live plants and raise the heighth and width of his cage)
 
yea between the cage and decor it can cost more than the chameleon!:eek:
i change my cages all the time. a little here and a little there.

i love my cham. and the price to make him happy is def. worth it. i had a cham before this but when i bought her she was sick so i took her back and got this one. The one i took back died 2 days later..She had a really bad upper respitory infection.
