question

ok thanks...im going to wait to get one...im in the process of building my lil guy a huge enclosure....so instead of getting a 5.0 i'll get a 10.0....thanks.....i'll def buy from that website though.....it was the cheapest i found.....thanks gain!!!
 
it's a screen enclosure.....1/8 mesh 27 gauge....why do they recommend a 10.0 uvb for screen? just curious...

I think its because the rays need to penetrate the mesh, to get through in the encloser so,some of the rays are lost on the mesh screen iirc.
 
It doesn't matter how tall the enclosure is.
Your chameleon is not going to sit on the floor 5 feet away from the UVB light.
5.0 is plenty and penetrates screen just fine.
I currently keep 6 different species and use the 5.0 for all of them.

There are T-8 and T-12 bulbs.

What is the difference between a T-8 and a T-12 bulb? I dont want to buy a bulb and a fixture and have them be incompatable !!:eek:
