Question sheet completed

I have filled this out for any pointers on my cool new friend. As said in last post I am new to chameleons but not reptiles. I only brought him home yesterday but as of yet has eaten nothing at all.

Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon - Male Yemen approx 8 weeks old. Came home with me yesterday
Handling - Handled for as short as possible today to get out uneaten locust but trying to keep to a minimum whilst he settles in
Feeding - Have tried dusted small locust and wax worms. Eaten neither. Locusts fed greens and bug grub. No poo seen yet.
Supplements - Not had chance to set up yet. Got Vionate vit/mineral already and calcium
Watering - Hand held spray bottle with warm water, spray liberally (but not directly on him - should I? for about 2 mins. I have done this 4 times today. Humidity sitting at around 80%. Not seen drink at all. Will set up drip system.
Cage Type - Exo Terra glass with mesh roof. 17.5 inch x 18 x 18
Lighting - Exo Terra compact 5.0 UVB and 26w basking exo terra compact light. On around 8am til 10pm
Temperature - Top basking approx 91, elsewhere approx 72 and lower at the bottom. Room temp overnight - approx 70. infra red lazer gun thingy.
Plants - Spider plant only at the moment but plan on getting others. Artificial ones to create lots of hiding.
Placement - In the lounge on top of an average height side board cupboardWhere is your cage located? No fans etc
Location - Kent

Main concern is no eating/drinking. Hoping just settling in period but not remotely interested in anything. Moved around lots this morning but not moved much (if at all) for the last few hours.

well for supplements you need a plain calcium with no d3 for every feeding.
a calcium with d3 for twice a month.
and a multivitamin twice a month.

your basking temp is a bit high for a baby that young.
i would reduce it to about 83 for now.

You may want to consider an all mesh tank for your lil buddy. Ventilation is important to Veileds.

Also wax worms have a high fat content and should only be fed occasionally. If you like worms try silkworms or hornworms

both. If they like it though. Other wise they pretty much run away and you are just gonna stress him more. Don't spray him now, he is too new and settling in. Spray your viv down for a good 3-5 minutes. Sometimes it takes them quite a while to start drinking. They should see the water hitting the leaves or branches and start drinking hopefully. Also, you can run a dripper in the cage for water too. My chameleons rarely drink from misting. My one did as a baby but as he got older he preferred the dripper

Thank you for your help. He has she'd today but that prob from what he ate before I got him. He not keen on spraying direct so will stop for a bit and just do the Viv. I am waiting for the milk to be finished tonight to make a dropper - also bought some mini worms to leave wandering around in the hope they take his fancy! He really is amazing!
