Question about translucent veileds

sorry if this has been asked before, but what exactly are "translucent" vieleds? is it a certain pigment?color?ocality? any help in putting a definition and discription on the translucent vieleds

It refers to a lack of pigment on portions of their bodies. Ive read that its an inherited genetic difference (defect?). Kinda ugly if you ask me, but for some its quite desireable. Do a search and you're bound to hit a few threads on this topic, some quite heated.

I have been looking these up lately as we went to a breeder who has quite a few and is now breeding them. I thought they were stunning, but understand they are not everyone's cup of tea!
