Question about SF!?

So I live in SF now and I love and miss having chameleons. So I'm wondering if you think I a good idea to have a chameleon if I have a back yard (I'm moving soon so I'm curious) here in the city.
My real question is would I need a special green house or something for a four-horned chameleon to live here is the ave humidity is 62-84% and temps year wide are at very coldest 48 degrees and highs in 70 degrees? He's have his heat lamp so again my real question is do you think he could have an outdoors cage because I could give him several lamps and the humidity seems nice so just let me know what your concerns would be.

(Ultimately if my first male lives for over a couple years with no health problems I'd even consider becoming a four-horned cham breeder because it's my fav breed and they are too rare for their own good It seems to me.)

Why can't you keep a chameleon indoors? I wouldn't think an outdoor cage in San Francisco would be very conducive to keeping chameleons with it being cold and overcast so much of the year. Most people keep chams indoors with great success. In sunny, warm areas outdoor caging is definitely something I would like to do because it's more beneficial to the chams to get natural light, but I just don't think SF would be a good place for that, even with lamps. I was in SF a few weeks ago freezing my butt off and it wasn't even all that cold! (SF was 60, Denver was 30) The humidity makes it feel so much colder, and even more so when it's overcast so much.
