The very large plant that my cham free ranges in is called Schefflera, (actinophylla) this is said to be toxic to chams, the Schefflera(arboricola)is the smaller of the two and is not toxic...does anyone know if this is true or not....he loves this large tree and I have never noticed him eating it, I sure don't want him in it if it is toxic......thanks.

well, i tend to error on the safe side... my understanding is that arboricola. is safe.... Actinophylla, NOT safe.... i wouldnt use it, the other is quite easy to came by then you have no worries! ;) ive been using arboricola with my guy for over 2 years without issues... :)

I would go this approach too. Plenty of people say it's toxic, so why chance anything? :) I got myself an Arboricola (Along with a bunch of other safe plants) for my new chameleon, and I must say, it's his favourite plant in the entire terrarium!

You should just be on the safe side, and nothing can go wrong.
