Question about eating..

My baby veiled tends to crane his head up after he eats a cricket, as hes chewing it. Almost like hes helping it go down. He is still rather small, but the crickets seem appropriate size. I have been getting them from the store I bought him, which is a dedicated reptile store.

He has no hesitation in going for them and has been eating them in my care for over a week now, just thought it was strange as I have never really noticed another cham do this. Any ideas??
