Question about Cages

Hi,

My girfriend and I have two chameleons, but one lives with her and one lives with me. One is a 9 month old Panther chameleon and the other is a 6 month old Jackson chameleon. The plan is to share custody of the chameleons and switch who has what chameleon. My question is if their cages also need to be switched along with the chameleons or just cleaned? I don't know if chameleons can sense if the cage had another chameleon in it or not.

Well Im not sure about anyone else but my understanding was that Chams dont like change so I always make sure once my viv is cleaned out everything goes back exactly as it was?

Any other thoughts anyone?

I agree you wouldnt want to cause more stress than is needed durring the moving and settleing process.

Going back and forth is not the best idea... They will have to re adjust to the environment, owner and climate or food or whatever else. Why dont you just visit her wen you want to see the other?
