So since the ban is in effect on all exports from Tanzania. Does that mean no more wc quads are going to be coming in for at least a year? Are these guys exported from other countries besides Tanzania?

Ive been wanting a pr but kept putting it off mainly because I wanted to start a whole seperate montane room away from the pardalis. But I may have to go ahead and grab a pr while I still can.

T. quadricornis are from Cameroon, not Tanzania. When any more show up is dependent on when anyone brings in any more shipments from Cameroon. I imagine that not being able to bring in shipments from Tanzania will result in more shipments from some of these other places.

Thanks Chris. I wasnt sure where they originated from and I saw a pr that looked pretty good last wknd. Was kicking myself for not getting them after i thought about that ban being in place.

I was not thinking when I posted the info below!! As Chris Anderson said, quads come from Camaroon. All of you who read my post - well forget it. I am hopeless.

Grab on sweetie, sadly they are on the banned list and Tanzania is where they come from. I am so thankful I have a pair and a couple babies lined up. Of course one clutch of eggs was just laid.:D The other baby is a couple weeks old, guess nothing happening soon.

I agree that when nice, healthy quads are available, people should jump on them and try to get more widespread breeding going. That said, T. quadricornis do not live in Tanzania and nothing Tanzania does effects them. The Tanzania ban does not effect T. quadricornis.
