From what i know usually T. q. quadricornis can have 2 or 4 horns while T. q. gracilior from 4 to 6.. it's correct or it's an old knowledge? really nice males anyway!!!

These guys only get the blue hue along the spine and in the top of the head when a female comes in to the mix. Most of the time they are a crazy green camo pattern. They have quickly become one of my new favorite chameleon species.

Any chance you saved a picture of that well-equiped fellow?
Or, better yet, did he leave you with any offspring?
And, what is your opinion on the number of horns vis-a-vis the subspecies? Have you read the 1981 Bohme and Klaver description?

My guy has a lot of turquoise blue along the top line, in the tail, and in the larger scales on his sides; there are some very large scales on the top of the head that can be almost purple-blue. BTW, I have two females who can flash some of the same color in these large scales on the head.
