Quads Showin off

Thanks Chris, I've learned a bit more ;)

@jack29, According to what i've read in Petr Necas's book you're right about the amount of horns.

Quad quad

These guys only get the blue hue along the spine and in the top of the head when a female comes in to the mix. Most of the time they are a crazy green camo pattern. They have quickly become one of my new favorite chameleon species.

I've felt that way too

I had a quad quad with 8 horns.

Wow. That is phenomenal. A T. q. quad?

Any chance you saved a picture of that well-equiped fellow?

Or, better yet, did he leave you with any offspring?

And, what is your opinion on the number of horns vis-a-vis the subspecies? Have you read the 1981 Bohme and Klaver description?

Ellron, Eisentrauti, would either of you know, or would you like to translate that article for us?

Perhaps I am taking this thread too far off topic....

Apologies to the OP, if so.

My guy has a lot of turquoise blue along the top line, in the tail, and in the larger scales on his sides; there are some very large scales on the top of the head that can be almost purple-blue. BTW, I have two females who can flash some of the same color in these large scales on the head.
