Pygmys acting strange

Hey everyone, i have a pair of bearded pygmys and all of a sudden they go down to the bottom of the cage and start trying to get pass the glass. At first i thought it was only my female but my male does it to.

I did change the substrate to paper towels as it is much easier and those little bugs are still in there (cleaner crew). As they get older i will put the bed a beast in but right now they are 5 months or so.

Check your temps. Are they hunting for bugs? Mine always spend some time walking around the bottom. Papertowels are not going to cut if for humidity.

Temperature would be my guess, my brevs are in a dark room and get no direct sunlight(from windows). My temps are never above 77.

Stefan, I have the same size brev's you do and mine have the full blown brev setup with the hydro ball, charcoal, bedabeast, leaf litter all in the bottom. Also I have all the plants and sticks they want. All three are fat, sassy and doing great. Try setting up a regular brev set up for both humidity and temp consistency. Mine are currently in a 20 gal long & tall. Soon to move to a 65 gal hex.
