So I posted about this a few weeks ago and was told that these purple marks on my year old panther were most likely a bacterial/fungal infection. Seeing as there were not on his back and somewhat symmetrical, burning was ruled out.
A week ago I took Mango to the doctor who, too, agreed about some sort of infection thus prescribing a disinfectant solution (betadine) and an anti fungal/antibacterial cream (silvadene cream). I was to put it on every 12 hours for 14 days. At this point it's been a week and I've missed only one application, and don't see any results.
I read about bruising and am leaning towards this now seeing as all of his other behaviors are 100% cham (ie. eating, crawling up and down cage, crying to be held when I walk by, etc.)
Any ideas?
