Purple Spots

So I posted about this a few weeks ago and was told that these purple marks on my year old panther were most likely a bacterial/fungal infection. Seeing as there were not on his back and somewhat symmetrical, burning was ruled out.
A week ago I took Mango to the doctor who, too, agreed about some sort of infection thus prescribing a disinfectant solution (betadine) and an anti fungal/antibacterial cream (silvadene cream). I was to put it on every 12 hours for 14 days. At this point it's been a week and I've missed only one application, and don't see any results.
I read about bruising and am leaning towards this now seeing as all of his other behaviors are 100% cham (ie. eating, crawling up and down cage, crying to be held when I walk by, etc.)
Any ideas?

I went back and looked at the photos in your other post and it does look like a fungal infection. Reptiles are very slow healers and I would recommend sticking with the treatment. If no improve in a couple more weeks then I would return to the vets.

Even in people fungal infections can take a long time to get under control, even with treatment. I had Tinea versicolor (a fungal infection in the skin, actually a type of yeast) a number of years ago and even with a ketoconazole shampoo it too a long time to get rid of. Like jannb said, reptiles tend to be slower to heal, so it may take some time. Plus, the discoloration may not go away immediately after the fungal infection is taken care of. The dicoloration may not go away until the infection is gone AND he has gone through a shed.

Okay thats good to know. I will keep am eye on it and continue with the meds schedule. Idk if I speak for myself, but I get super paranoid and codependent when something odd happens to my cham; like a mother/father with a child. Haha. I really appreciate all the help. Thank you
