Our Jackson Chameleon, "Spike", went on a hunger strike for the last two weeks. I took him to the vet yesterday and he got a myriad of shots for vitamins, hydration and to de-worm, just in case. He is much better today and drinking water again.
However, while he was drinking, we noticed something striking on his right eye. When he blinks while moving it around, a purple bulge the size of a small pea surfaces at the upper corner of his eye. The left eye is normal. Has anyone experienced this? I am wondering if it is part of an underlying problem that caused his hunger strike. He is two years old and has thrived in our conditions up until this point. I took a video of him blinking to show the vet, am wondering if I can post it here. This is my first time to the forum.
Thanks for any insight.
