I would like to purchase a male baby panther Ambilobe, however i got a reply to a message i left for LLLReptile.com that they cannot guarantee male as a baby....sooooo i want to find out how i can purchase a baby or YOUNG male and know it's a male, as i would like to have color. However, i don't want to get one that hasn't been handled as an older one because i'd like to tame him so i can at least not get hissed at or have it run to hide when i approach the cage. I would really like to handle him some if he will tollerate it. Thanks in advance.

I recommend getting one that is a few months old if you want more color. At that age it will be a lot easier to guarantee that it is a male as well.

It should be but all chameleons are different. Some take more work than others to become accumulated to handling. Most males will go through a teen stage where they won't want anything to do with you but if you keep working with them they should start to feel more comfortable with you as they grow up.
