Pumpkin is doing it!

As I type pumpkin (Ambilobe) is laying her eggs. 21 day gestation. I peeked in on her and didn't even see any test holes. She went right for it and has her but in the hole doing her thing.

I was actually surprised by her laying. I looked in and couldn't find her. looked down and saw her in the dirt. She saw me so lets hope I didn't spoil anything. She could have been in the hole for quite sometime. No one has been home since 9am.

I am excited so I thought I would share. I am going to use this thread for updates/pictures as they present themselves

OMG!> :eek::eek:

Well here is the scoop. pumpkin layed 41 beautiful little eggs. I was just starting to cut back on her eating when they found eachother and did the wild thing. Well she is going to be on a strick diet after her recovery.

Time to wait.

Wow a late night then had to be to work at 5am. I got all 41 eggs last night in the Vermiculite. I squeezed them in to two containers.

I have a question about the vermiculite.

Am I doing this right. I misted the Vermiculite as I mixed it. I got it damp to the point if I took a handful and squeezed really hard I could get a drop or two of water. Each egg is placed 1" or so apart. I am not seeing any condensation on the container lid. Should I ?

I drilled two really small holes in the lid as well.

What a day . :D
