Hi My 1yr old male Ambilobe who is kept in a 29"w x40"H octigon screen cage. He eats crickets and superworms. Gets missted 3-4 times a day plus a dripper every day to second day. He gets lots of calcium powder and vitemin powder. He has for some strange reason got a tiny puffed skin spots on his upper lip on both sides. The skin is starting to turn color. He still eats but not as much as before. And he seems to not want crickets anymore. He picks out the superworms. Infection?? PLEASE HELP.

Thanks.

I Had an experienced chameleon caretaker look at him. He said it's a result of him over eating and puking. So i gotta cut down on feeding him. He said worst it would be is cut upper lip sides from sharp food. But I just gotta keep an eye on him. I touch the spots and he doesnt get botherd by it so it must not hurt. Thanks

How interesting. I've never heard of such a thing as over eating and vomitting resulting in a dry mouth area.

For my curiosity sake, Im wondering if you've witnessed this behaviour?

Also, Im curious to know if there were any other dry looking or scabby looking spots on the chameleon? Or is it only around the mouth?

lip

He waslike that when I got him. So I havent seen it. But it isnt getting worst. And its only in the upper lip. He still eats okay. I don't know what else it could be.

I have to get my other camera back from parents. My other one cant even zoom enough to see it.Its like the tiniest spot.
