Current Problem -
ok so i took my new cham out today and he has like a strange white fleshy looking dot sticking outa his vent
ill try to get a picture tomorrow but he made it really difficult and i couldnt get a clear photo.
Already tried soaking his rump in cold water with sugar to see if it would retract.
Im hoping its just me worrying about him since he's soooooooo tiny and adorable

i am not sure if at 2-3 months they produce sperm plugs at that age, but that definitely is not a prolapse if it is white. You did not need or should not have soaked him in cold water. I mean it did not harm him other than maybe cause him undo stress. By what you describe, it sounds like a sperm plug but it is hard to say without a pic.

I think if you thought it might be a prolapse, you did the right thing to soak him. I say that because his discomfort at not needing soaking, is not nearly as important as soaking him if he did have a prolapse. Not sure if that explains what I am trying to say. Thinking he had a prolapse must have been scary for you.

But I do agree completely that is not a prolapse. That is good news, he does seem young for a sperm plug for that is what you are describing. Now if he will just cooperate and let you get a picture.

this is the best i can do.

it may or may not have been a prolapse but i used sugar water and massaged it back in, then warmed him up, i hope it will stay in.
incase it doesn't can a exotic vet stitch this little guy he's really small.

I need another opinion, it keeps popping out when he uses his tail, ive massaged it in multible times, My parents refuse to let me go to a vet saying its "just a lizard"

what color is the thing sticking out? your picture is very unclear. Can you get a better close up?

i have tried its extremely hard ive tried with all three of my cameras, its a white dot i massaged it back in then put a dab of ky on it before i turned out his lights

it looks more red than white from the pic. It does not look to be far out whatever it is. So if your chameleon becomes really ill, your parents are just going to let it die???? They will not let you take him to a vet?

Its hard to exlain the vent itself is dark where it V's but im positive the bulge that sticks out is white.
no their pretty brutal like that. they'll let it die then tell me i should have never saved my money for it.
since i burned through my summer job money im pretty much broke.

bump, i think the budge sticking out was a prolapse as my friend told me even a pale bulge was still a prolapse, i massaged it back in and it hasn't reappeared,
if by chance it does can a vet put a suture on this guy, as he's pretty small?

this is driving me crazy i cant get a picture, but it has shrunken a lot since last time but still looks "hydrated" could it have been like a inflammation of his vent or somthing? it now popps in and out depending on what he's doing.
it looks like a grayish-white lip thats round that sticks out from the side where his tail is not towards his body, and the lip of his vent covers it back up (retracts) when i try to pick him up for a picture.
help Oz :(
