I can't copy and paste the "how to ask form" so I'll have to paraphrase it and hope I cover most of the items.
Male Veiled, approx 10 months...only had him 2 months though
Diet of crickets, mealworms, and try veggies but he's not interested.
Feeders are gutloaded with carrots, cucumbers, and the flukers orange cube things.
Handling a few times/week
Supplements: previous owner was dusting with calcium WITH d3 every feeding and multi a few times a month...we've laid off on d3 almost completely since in hopes that it'll balance his system out.
Lighting: previous owner had a PowerSun 100w :-( ...which I think added to the d3 overdosing...now he's on reptisun 5.0
Showering: a few times a week since we got him....Texas has been super dry and he looked dehydrated when we got him.
Cage: he's still in the one he came with from previous owner....approx 20x20x36 half glass half mesh...we thought this was okay since keeping humidity up was a problem.
Parasite testing: no, but due to current situation getting a sample has ben impossible.
Poop/Pee: See current issue...no poop, urate is white, but very mucusy and runny.
Current Issue:
Right after Christmas he had an intestinal prolapse. It was put back in, apparently without issue by vet, but during the timeframe the poop (that he had passed was dried out and she was unable to test for parasites). She treated him for parasites anyway. There was no indication of impaction. Since them, he hasn't prolapsed again, but hasn't been eating on his own and hasn't had any poop for more than a week. Yesterday he vomited up the worms and cricket that we had fed him over the last few days. He still looks well hydrated, but is becoming slower and dragging his vent around behind him (like his back legs are weak). Vet really couldn't give us any other ideas except to supplement with cat food...and wait and see... Any suggestions would be helpful. I'm worried about the eating thing. Vet said his weight hadn't dropped too much in followup visit.
Will try to post pictures when I get to a computer.
