Is there anything actually sticking out of it? My suggestion would be to give him a good soaking (heavy mist or shower) and go buy yourself some KY jelly* just in case that turns into a prolapse (where his internal body parts come out). If you see anything pink sticking out, coat it with KY. You would then need to get him to a vet ASAP. If you haven't researched a vet in your area yet, now would be a good time.

*KY jelly is a water based lubricant that will not damage tissue. You can find it in the feminine hygiene department.

Chase, the pictures aren't clear at all, but there is definite swelling of the vent area and possibly some protrusion that looks pinkish.

If it is a sperm plug, then the shower/heavy mist will help and it never hurts to have KY Jelly handy and the number of a good vet near...so, I figured it was safe advice.

I wasn't questioning the advice :)

Like I said I can't see the pictures very well, and was just throwing the possibility out there

No, I can't get him out of his cage bc he is really mean and tries to bite me every time I try and put my hand next to him. He will eat out of my hand for some reason tho

When I had mean ole Veileds, I had to wear work gloves to get them out to bring them to the shower. Maybe you need some of those?

It looks like swelling to me.

my faly has a swollen vent too. and my vet said it was from coccidia, a parasite.

i would get a fresh stool sample, and take itt o your vet, and get a fecal test done.

He had a chronic prolapsing problem, and alot of vent swelling.

i took him to the vet, and a fresh stool sample.

they did a test, determined he had coccidia, a parasite, and gave him a dose of ponazuril, which is used to treat it.

i was sent home with a second dose to give 48 hours later, and then on wednesday im to bring them another fecal sample for testing. if he tests clean, we are good, if he tests positive still, we continue dosing with meds.

Do u have a pic of what it used to look like?

hes still got the swelling... lemme find some pics.. one sec. this is a current issue im dealing with.

you can see the area right behind his vent is super swollen.. and no, thats not just bc hes well endowed. ;) lol

He was chronically prolapsing, meaning he would prolapse, and his previous owner would help him put it back in... ive only had him since tuesday.
