Whats the best way to see if if and what fruits your cham will eat
shall i just try hand-feeding him different types or should i attach a shallow dish to a branch and place a variety in it?

From all the research I have done and others can chime in but Chameleons are not really fruit eaters.. They might eat some plants and mine will eat Kale off and on but they tend to like food that moves like bugs...

i was just wondering if i should be feeding them tbh because when i bought him the woman said they had been eating fruits and veg.
But there are plenty of plants in his home which he likes to eat anyway

its all a matter of finding out what fruits can be appropriate for direct ingestion by the chameleon. from there, step two is simply hanging them up and seeing what and if, your chameleon likes best.

I have a pair of Ambilobe panthers that will both take fruit a veggies from my hand. I feed them thin slices of apple, carrot, grapes, squash but they will not take greens. They dont do it everytime either. I tried it one day while feeding my beardie and was shocked to see them lean over and take a bite out!

My two veileds love fruits and veggies and some of my daughter's panthers will eat them. Just try small slivers of a few different things and see what they like. My guys love apple, pear, banana, strawberry, grape, collard greens, carrot and kale. My male likes to hand feed because it doesn't stick to their tongue but my females grabs it right out of a shallow bowl. I've also hear of people sticking it on their branches for them.

my veiled love fruits & veggies
i cut them up some apples & carrots & callord greens sprinkle some reptile vitamins on it put it in a small plate in the bottom of there cage & it will all be gone the next day

Tilly eats fruit! She loves grapes and now has started eating strawberry. She often eats greens too but she'll only nibble on a few bits and then seems to get bored.
