Preparing for the cold, winter months in MD.

Hello everyone,

I own two Jackson's Chameleons from Hawaii, received them about 2 months ago on July 7th. As the summer is coming to an end, I figured I'd start making adjustments to my chameleons' housing and lighting. I live in the Washington D.C. area and it gets pretty cold around here starting mid-October and by December temperatures can be as low as 20 degrees!

Since it's going to be extremely cold, one of my main concerns is maintaining proper temperature suitable for my chameleons, I'd say about 70-80 degrees.

If the heater in my house is on throughout the day, would that be enough as far as keeping the temperature in the 70's-80's? Do I need additional heat lamps on top of the enclosures?

Does anyone have any suggestions and/or experiences they want to share about housing chameleons in cold-weather environments? Please help. I'd appreciate all your input.
