So i just started breeding my chameleons and need a little help to know how can i know when to separate her and when do i know she ready to lay her eggs ? need help here please
What do you mean seperate her? You mean from the male? Did they breed already for sure? If so, how long ago? It takes about 30 days after conception for them to be ready to lay eggs, but can take longer. If you do not have the proper set up for her to lay, she can become eggbound and die. Is she showing non receptive colors? It sounds like you have not done your research here!
What species?
You need to separate them when the female starts to reject the female (turns non receptive colors and patterns, hisses, gapes, rocks back and forth).
I need to know the species before I can tell you more.
OK, putting my nitpicky hat on...no cham could ever be "prego" as they are not placental mammals. They could however be "gravo". Is that really a word?
